Called Mentoring

SouthWest Field NYI is thrilled to introduce our Called Mentoring Program. Spiritual mentoring is the sharing of life together in intentional, Christ-centered, discipleship-focused relationships. Our goal is to match interested participants with a mentor/coach (i.e. Pastor, Youth Pastor, church staff member, or friend of the Southwest Field).

Think You Might be Called?

We would love to come alongside you and support you. Contact us to let us know about your call!

How does
the mentoring program work?

First and foremost, spiritual mentors must exhibit a deep commitment to Jesus Christ and the ongoing life of Christian discipleship. Based on their personal calling, experiences and interests, students will be matched with a qualified mentor. Mentors and students will meet together to connect once a month for prayer, Bible or book study, significant conversations, fellowship, etc.

What is the process
to become a
Called Mentor?

Interested candidates will complete an online application which can be found here: New Mentor Application.

Selected mentors will be connected with those who have registered an interest via this form.

Mentors and mentees will begin meeting together at a time and location mutually decided upon and will meet for an hour at least once a month for the remainder of the church year.

Mentors and Mentees will communicate after 1 year whether or not they will continue meeting for the following year.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration. Please feel free to forward this to those you feel could benefit from mentoring/coaching in regards to their call AND to those you believe would make excellent mentors/coaches. It is our goal to provide support, resources, and occasional events for those involved in spiritual mentoring.

We are looking forward to partnering with you as you invest in the lives of those desiring to learn more about their calling this year.
